Lighthouse Twitter Chat
On January 19th, Mays Chapel teachers will join us in our Twitter Chat. The topic is New Years resolutions for teachers. We will discuss and share some ways to keep us focus and motivated for the year. This will be a great collaborative opportunity. You will get a chance to chat with other teachers all while being at home! The hashtag will be #LHchat :-)
Class Flow Support
On January 31st, Jennifer Dingle (Instructional Consultant for Classflow) will be here to support us with our Classflow usage! She is available for model lessons, questions, and pointers! She would also love to see some of our Classflow use that day!
i-Ready Mid-Year Diagnostic
This is the perfect time of year to provide the mid-year diagnostic to your students! This will provide helpful data to see how your students' growth and what instructional decisions you may need to make. There are mid-year checklists provided by i-Ready. You can also now assign close reading lessons for grades 2-5 through i-Ready! There is a new student growth report which makes it easier to see the progress from one diagnostic to the next.
Math Game Boards
One upon a time I was in a game board making frenzy! I have numerous blank game boards that could be used with any math skill/standard. All you would need are counters, dice, and/or a spinner! These game boards can be used in small group or partners. You can even have three different game boards going at once! They may even work for different content areas. Below are some examples of my game boards. Stop by and get one today! Find a sticker and place it on my hand when you see me in the hallway for a chance to win a prize!
