Our New St. Clare School Vision Statement

As a part of maintaining our accreditation, we needed to write a school vision statement. The statement was a collaborative effort of the school staff, the School Committee, Dr. Nardi, and Father Brian. The resulting statement that will guide us in all we do is:

St. Clare School Vision Statement

St. Clare School strives for the development of the whole child through: participation in the sacramental and prayer life of the Catholic Church, the fostering of Catholic ethics and social values, diligent respect for the dignity of the human person, and the offering of superior academic preparation. Students will be immersed within an engaging and challenging learning environment where all participants will be given the opportunity to succeed. St. Clare School welcomes all people as brothers and sisters in Christ regardless of race, economic status, ethnic origin, or beliefs through a safe and energized environment. St. Clare Catholic School teaches as Jesus taught, promoting the spiritual, intellectual, and human growth of the next generation of Catholic leaders to meet their full potential for a life of service to the Gospel in society.

VEX Worlds

Our Agents of VEX are back from Worlds! They finished 5-5 and ranked 44th in their division of 80 teams. Congratulations to them. We are lucky to have such a wonderful group of students and parents representing St. Clare Catholic School.

Support St. Clare Parish, School, and RE

If you like coffee or tea you can help support our school by purchasing through our Mystic Monk Coffee and Tea Fundraiser. Information and the order form can be found at http://www.stclarek8.org/documents/mystic-monk-order-form.

Road Construction

Brown County Public Works has informed us that at the beginning of April there will be road construction starting from Bridge St (slightly southwest of the school) to Apple Creek Rd (northeast of the school property). This will affect the school entrance and the parking lot entrance. Our area is scheduled for Stage 1. The schedule is weather-dependent and may change due to weather conditions. The work consists of removing existing pavement and replacing it with 4.5" of new asphalt pavement and driveway ends being replaced.

The road will be closed to through traffic, but access to the school and church will be maintained throughout the construction phase.

Buddy the St. Clare School Bulldog is Available

St. Clare Bulldogs are in stock and available for sale at the school office. Each stuffed Buddy costs $8.00. We are selling the bulldogs to fund our positive behavior intervention and support program (PBIS). Money will be used to purchase rewards and other incentives during the 2017-2018 school year.

$10K Raffle News

The HEAT is on! Only 10 days until the event! We need your help to sell out the raffle tickets! If you have any tickets that you cannot sell, now is the time to bring them to school. If you need more time, go for it! We will soon begin to call families to check on their tickets.

It’s also time to begin stocking the wheel barrow of spirits and wine rack raffle items. As in the past, we ask families to contribute bottles of wine and/or liquor. Please give the bottles to a committee member – do not send with your child or deliver to school! We’ll be collecting bottles at school, or you may bring your bottle to the event. Watch for Jim Olson in a dark red Cadillac parked across from the school from 7:30 – 8:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning this week. If afternoon works best, Wendy Schumacher will be in a red Kia after school on Friday.

Please go online to volunteer for the event at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0A4DADA82DAA8-stclare1. The event requires 50+ people, so please consider covering a shift. Recruit a friend or family member to help. Please sign up by Monday, May 1.

425 Main Street

Wrightstown, WI

This summer, launch your child’s imagination at Camp Invention. All-new modules mean all-new fun as children invent, build, question, and discover. Children in kindergarten through 6th grade experience real-world problem solving and creative thinking as they transform the terrain and ecosystem of a distant exoplanet, take risks as future entrepreneurs, blast rockets and rubber chickens, and wire a circuit to create their own Spy Gadget Alarm Box! Local educators lead a week of hands-on activities that fuel children’s 21st century STEM skills. Early registration discounts are available so don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity. Visit campinvention.org or call 800.968.4332 for information. Use promo code Discover15 to save $15 (expires 5/01).
