Spirit Week Events Announced!
Our Spring Spirit Week will start on Monday, May 23rd and it will culminate with an outdoor pep rally on Friday, May 27th.
The theme days are as follows:
Monday - Neon Day
Tuesday - Tropical Tuesday
*Wednesday - Anything But a Backpack Day (Use your discretion.... nothing living please! A
Thursday - Frat Out (Wear Collegiate Attire)
Friday - Color Wars
Freshmen - Green
Sophomores - Yellow

*For "Anything But A Backpack Wednesday," students MUST NOT bring large items that create a safety hazard by clogging hallways. Any item that is deemed a distraction to the learning environment will be set aside for students to pick-up at the end of the day.
Pep Rally Events- Sign Up to Represent Your Class!
The Spring Pep rally is on Friday and the games are Tug-of-War, an obstacle course and the 3 legged race! Please see your class advisors to sign up for the games... each class needs 10 for Tug-of-War, 8 for the 3-legged race and 4 for the obstacle course! Please sign up asap!

Summer Driver's Ed Registration
Meet and Greet the Candidates for the Assistant HS Principal
Attention all students. Starting tomorrow, and also on Thursday and Friday, you can meet and greet each of the candidates for the assistant principal position at the high school. These afternoon forums will be held in the High School Chorus Room from 2-2:30.
Each assistant principal candidate will meet with district administrators, faculty, students, (YES, Students), we want your input. The open forums will be an opportunity for anyone who wants to meet and speak with our finalists. All stakeholders will have an opportunity to give feedback through a Microsoft form QR codes will be posted in the Chorus room to access the survey. Be involved, meet the candidates! Students may attend from 2 until 2:30 each day.
Doubles Badminton Tournament
The class of 2024 is hosting a doubles badminton tournament. Pick up a registration form in the main office, or Mrs. Berend's, or Mr. Taccetta's rooms!
Library Books
Mr HF-L Date Changed to Sunday, June 5th at 6 PM
This presentation is put on each year by the HF-L Interact Club. This club (sponsored by the HFM Rotary) is made up of students in grades 9-12 and its mission is to teach leadership and volunteerism, both locally and globally. The students use this performance to reimburse the Interact Club's funds for the following year so they may carry out their volunteer activities. Any additional proceeds are donated to the students’ charity of choice for the year.
The Mr. HF-L contestants are senior boys who perform a group dance, each perform a “talent,” and each perform a question and answer session wearing their formal attire. They are competing for the grand prize of $500 which is donated by the HFM Rotary Club.
Prom Details TICKET SALES TAKE PLACE DURING LUNCH SETS THRU MAY 25
Prom is going to be held at Eagle Vale Country Club on Saturday May 28th from 7pm-10:30.
The tickets will be $65 each and that price includes a mandatory sales tax of 8%.
Tickets can be paid in cash or by check.....made payable to HFL Class of 2022
Tickets should be available for purchase by Thursday of this week during certain lunches TBD. You may bring a guest from another school if you get a "Guest Permission" form from the Main Office and get it approved before the event.
There will be Hors D'oeuvres of selected cheese and crackers, crudities...that means veggies and dip, mac and cheese bites and Swedish meatballs. There will be a 3 hour soda/juice bar available. There will be a DJ and a free photo booth. A tux is not required, and you will see dresses in every length, style, fabric and color you can imagine.
