Reflections from the week of 5-15-17
It is hard to believe that another school year has ended and graduation is upon us. As I reflect on the achievements at AMCHS, I am in awe of how much we continue to excel and foster a growth mindset at AMCHS. Having teachers who are not satisfied with the status quo, hard-working students, supportive parents, and an involved community, are paramount for a successful campus. Thank you for embracing our spirit of excellence! Though there are challenges that lie ahead, together we will continue addressing those barriers that prevent ALL students from succeeding. I challenge you to reflect on this past school year, address those areas where students underachieved, and examine how you will tackle the issues in the fall. As a school family, we are committed in providing high-quality instruction for all students, maintaining a disciplined environment, integrating instructional strategies to support learning and empowering ALL students to reach their optimal level.
There is no doubt, the bulk of our work begins during the summer--learning new curriculum, designing new lessons, and planning. However, we must take care of our needs, rest, and relax and be ready to reach that next level of success.
Thank you for another remarkable year at AMCHS, and I hope you have a restful summer.
