S.T.E.A.M class

STEAM is an approach to teaching and learning in which principles of science, technology, engineering, art, and math are integrated and brought to focus in real world situations! Central Elementary is currently the only LCISD elementary campus offering this class and we hope to grow the program to serve students PK through High School!

Parents we ask you to do two things for us in regards to our STEAM class:

1 - Ask your child about this class! We serve all students through our specials rotation!

2- Help us with our project materials! If you have any of the items below (and you don't mind donating) we will happily receive them from your child!

Toilet paper/paper towel rolls

Bottle caps (soda or water)

Shoe boxes with detachable lids

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently issued flexibilities enabling Lubbock-Cooper ISD to provide free school meals for all students through the fall semester.

Beginning Monday, September 14, reimbursable school meals will be available to all Lubbock-Cooper ISD students at no cost. A reimbursable school meal includes at least one serving of fruits or vegetables and at least two servings of meat, grain, and/or dairy. (A standard school meal is considered reimbursable.) This opportunity will expire on Thursday, December 31.

Students will still be charged for additional servings and a la carte food items. If you wish to apply money to your child's account to allow them to purchase additional servings or a la carte food items, please visit

Lubbock-Cooper North Elementary (3202 108th Street) will serve as a community feeding site for the remainder of the fall semester. Any individual 18 years of age or younger (and/or enrolled in a K-12 school) is eligible to pick up meals from North Elementary 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
