Hero Happenings
The Heritage Family Newsletter - December 16, 2016
Dear Heritage Families,
We had a fantastic December! It was full of learning and special events to celebrate the season. PTA hosted the Peppermint Village, a movie night, helped with the holiday parties, and provided teachers with lots of special treats. We had our first theater production of the Aristocats and our annual Spelling Bee. Congratulations to Diala Mousa from Mr. Stevents class who was our Runner Up. The winner of our Spelling Bee was Christina Nguyen in Ms. Kelley's class. Way to go!!!
Other events included: second grade attending the Nutcracker, third grade watching the performance of Robin Hood, and cheering on second grade's Polar Express Parade. Mrs. Levy, our librarian, led the students in an Hour of Code and helped them learn more about the process and the important skill of coding.
We are also happy to report that Mrs. Levy and Mrs. Yardley worked together to write a grant to install Frisbee Golf on the playground. We learned this week that History Maker Homes awarded us with that grant! So be looking for the new equipment coming soon!
We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!
See you in 2017!

Bryte Bytes
Keller ISD has partnered with BrightBytes to gather valuable insight from parents, teachers and students about our current technology environment.
BrightBytes is a web-based and research-driven tool that will help us evaluate our current technology resources. The data that we receive from this anonymous survey will help us determine areas in Technology we can celebrate as well as areas we need to improve. It will also help us understand the connection between technology use and student achievement.
With the data collected, we can also make better decisions about Professional Learning trainings that we need to offer in Keller ISD. This will help our students and teachers to be better technologically prepared for the classroom and life after Keller ISD.
The survey is currently open and will close on January 2, 2017. You
may access the survey through a link on the campus web page. Click here for the Heritage site and see below right for the Bryte Bytes link.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your honest feedback.
We look forward to getting the information from this survey and better serving our staff and students.
