The Taj Mahal is a white marble tomb built in 1631 - 1648. This tomb was built by Shah Jehan for his wife, Arjuman Banu Begum because of his great love for her. He called in anyone and everyone to help build it and had it done for her.
It has many different types of architecture in it and is very famous, being one of the seven wonders of the world. This beautiful tomb is located in next to a river and looks amazing at sunset as displayed below.
The Taj Mahal is part of the Mughal style, in which incompasses Persian, Indian, and Islamic styles. It is shaped like a rectangle and has many different entrances.
Some of the breathtaking features are that it is so large, the inlays in the building itself, and the amazing floral pattern on the ceilings of the tomb. All of these things make it a great place to look at. Also, the dome is very breathtaking, the dome is 44.4 meters high. People travel all over the world to see this amazing masterpiece.
