Mrs. Kelley's 1st Grade Class Newsletter
January 2016 HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Please see the Six Flags Reading Log that will be attached to your child's Homework sheet on Monday. Please keep this in a safe place. Every time your child reads or you read to your child please record this on the Six Flags Reading Log. These will be due on Feb. 19th. Your child will receive a FREE TICKET to Six Flags when they have completed 6 hours of reading!
This week the kids will learn how to use a new math program. If you have older children at Homestead you will be familiar with FASTTMATH. Kids practice math facts for speed and accuracy. I will take the students to the computer lab this Monday so they can become familiar with this fun learning program. Kids can practice at home a few minutes each day.
You will see login information on the Homework sheet and you will find the link for FASTTMATH on our Kelley's Kids website. Just navigate to the Math tab.
