Building our Bulldog Community
"Imagine what would be possible if you felt connected to others whom you trusted, who listened to you, and who believed in you and encouraged you, as well as to those from whom you could learn and with whom you could do great things. Imagine if you experienced this inside school halls and on your street. Can you see how significant this would be when things get tough? Community can be built every day, in every interaction with another person, when you listen, bridge differences, and embrace healthy conflict. Know what kind of community you want to be a part of and to create, and then move to build it," quotes Elena Aguilar in her book, Onward (2018, p. 122.)
What a great sense of community we have here at PAES! Each of you plays a genuine role in the success of every child, in making each kiddo- and adult- within our walls feel connected to our Bulldog family. I appreciate your willingness to learn with me and help me feel connected to this team. We've faced some challenges along the road, but we've faced them together and always had the best interest of kids at heart. As we continue to build our Bulldog community, be reminded of the opportunities you have with our students. Imagine the possibilities of each interaction. In the words of Emmett's Mom, "There's no replacement for" YOU.

From the Office
- Please remind homeroom kiddos that they are to go to the playground when they get off of the bus in the morning. If you are supervising the D.O. Entrance, please move to the main office doors to help supervise that area and encourage students to go to the playground. Thank you!
- At the end of the day, please send your students directly to the bus. Students are stopping to visit and hug former teachers before boarding the bus and are in risk of missing the bus!! We love hugs, but the stealth-like sprint on the sidewalk to catch the bus at 3:04 is meant for a track meet!
- Our October family newsletter will be sent Tuesday. Please share any items you would like included by Monday at 3:00. Thank you!
- Send your students down to the office for birthdays following announcements! We can also play catch up for the first two weeks of school whenever your schedule allows. I'll post in the calendar when not in the office at 8:00.
