March is National Chronic Fatigue Awareness Month, as well as National Nutrition Month. These are two topics that Katz Chiropractic and Wellness Center are very passionate about.
Do you wake up still feeling exhausted? If you feel constantly exhausted and are plagued by a host of other symptoms, you may be suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. Research indicates that at least more than four million Americans have CFS. Unfortunately, less than 20% of them have been diagnosed. The low rate of diagnosis shows a need for increased understanding of CFS among individuals experiencing symptoms of the illness, the general public and health care professionals. Unexplained, persistent fatigue that’s not due to ongoing exertion, isn’t relieved by rest, is of new onset (not lifelong) and results in a significant reduction in previous levels of activity. If you are experiencing four or more of the following symptoms for more than 6 months, you may be suffering from CFS:
◆ Impaired memory or concentration
◆ Postexertional malaise (extreme, prolonged exhaustion following physical or mental activity)
◆ Unrefreshing sleep
◆ Muscle pain
◆ Multijoint pain
◆ Headaches of a new type
◆ Sore throat
◆ Tender lymph nodes
Often, CFS and nutrition go hand in hand. Nutrition is a critical part of health and development, yet it is something so few of us are knowledgeable about. MDs study so much of drugs and surgery, and so little of topics like nutrition. Educating ourselves on eating right will help us feel better, have more energy and boost our immune system. Whether or not you or someone you know is suffering from fatigue, we can all stand to come together and learn more about how important of a role nutrition really plays in our lives.
If you or someone you know could benefit from learning more about fatigue or improving nutrition, then please join us at Kernersville Public Library in the Lower Level Conference Room for some healthy snacks and some great informational conversation!

We are Katz Wellness Center
Katz Wellness Center is not your 'run-of-the-mill' clinic. Our doctors have a wellness approach to the health of their patients. Not only do they test patients for adrenal fatigue (caused by destructive stress) and toxicity (our bodies are exposed to 82,000 toxic chemicals each week), they treat them too! Of course, Dr. Joshua and Dr. Jessica incorporate the most modern chiropractic adjusting procedures in the treatment of their patients to ensure that the optimal care for your specific problem is being given. These adjusting techniques include Diversified, Thompson Drop, Gonstead, Activator, SOT and Extremity techniques. Dr. Joshua and Dr. Jessica are clinically skilled in treating conditions affecting the neuromusculoskeletal system, spinal trauma & rehabilitation, and personal injury & workers' compensation cases. Katz Wellness Center takes pride in providing family health care through chiropractic, as well as, prevention of future spinal problems
