"Our WHY" Focus of the Week: Know Every Child!
Let Them Know...
This week we continue to focus on knowing every child. Here is a video, it is 12 minutes long and does have some disturbing parts, but it is well worth the view to remind ourselves of WHY we need to KNOW every child.
Do you... SEE every child, HEAR every child, and WANT every child in your classroom each day?
Let them know they are loved, valued and worthy because some children come to school burdened with a heavy sadness that fills their soul!

In the afternoons we have had numerous children left by the bus due to not hearing announcements. We are causing these busses to arrive late for their middle school routes and creating additional work for the front desk as they field parent phone calls asking about children arriving late. This week discuss with your grade level a plan for how you will hold yourselves and students accountable for hearing dismissal calls. It is not acceptable for students to miss their way home.
This is also happening for carline. On several occasions this week children have said they were still in their classrooms when their names were called for carline. Students should be in the carline holding area as soon as possible when this call is made at the end of the day.
