Student-Led Conferences: February 21st 1:00-6:00 (Open House Style)

We build resilient leaders at Ladd. One way that we accomplish this is through increased student reflection and ownership. Students will be leading their February conferences!

*Teacher Role: Prior to conferences, teachers will guide students' collection of work samples, reflection on learning goals, and facilitation of conference. Teachers will provide feedback to parents through various means and support their students during the conference process.

*Student Role: Prior to conferences, students will collect, review, and assess work samples. Students will identify strengths and learning goals for the rest of the year. They will determine next steps to improve learning.

*Parent Role: Parents will provide encouragement, praise and reinforcement with undivided attention during conferences. They will assist child in identifying strengths and goals. Celebrate growth!

We will have a movie and activities available in the commons for siblings to wait during the other's conferences.

Contact teachers with specific questions. We look forward to seeing you on the 21st.

Science Fair

We have many students working hard on their projects. Bring your finished projects to school during conferences. Judging will be on Thursday, Feb 23rd. If you have questions, ask Mr. Ochs or Mrs. Couch.

And....drum roll please!!!! Ms. Stephanie D, a fourth grade student, submitted the winning drawing for the district-wide science fair t-shirt design contest. More than 500 shirts will be printed across the district with her drawing shining bright. Congratulations!
