Congratulations to Destination Imagination!
This past week, seven students from BSE took on teams from all over the world in Destination Imagination’s Global Finals. BSE would like to congratulate members from Keep Calm and DI On and the Electric Engineers. Both teams placed among the top 30 in the world! BSE Party in the Park Rescheduled!
The BSE end-of -the-year party at Brooks School Park has been rescheduled for this coming Monday, June 1, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Hot Box Pizza and Kona Ice will be there along with a DJ to celebrate the kick off to summer!
The Little Free Library Dedication Ceremony will be begin at 6 p.m. We hope to see you there!
Thank You to Our Field Day Volunteers!
A very special thank you to Mrs. Schwoeppe, and the BSE Field Day Chairs – Julie Hammond and Cassie Krack! They put a lot of time into making the day run smoothly! Also, a thank you to the many parents who gave their time and energy to make the Magic Tree House Field Day stations come alive!
We are most appreciative of all of your hard work and in making BSE Field Day a success!
BSE Supply Kit Information Available
BSE supply kit information for next Fall is now available! Order forms were sent home with BSE students and to other elementary schools who have current students being redistricted to BSE, as well.
If you do not have a form, you may go online to www.shopttkits.com to order a BSE kit. Use code 755301.
All BSE supply kits may only be ordered online, and must be ordered by today, May 29.
Enrollment Information
Enrollment packets for students entering BSE in the Fall of 2015 are available at BSE from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The BSE Office will be open through Monday, June 15, and will re-open on Tuesday, July 28.
You must bring the following documents to enroll your child:
1) Child’s Birth Certificate (must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2015)
2) Child’s Current Immunization Records
3) Copy of Lease or Mortgage
4) Copy of Current Utility Bill
5) Valid Indiana Driver’s License with Current Address or W-2 with Current Address
Summer enrollment for grades K-8 will be held at Lantern Road Elementary again this year. The following dates and times have been approved for summer enrollment:

Charity Golf Classic Benefits HSE Schools
The Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation is hosting the 14th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 1, at River Glen Country Club. Proceeds will benefit HSE schools!

S.P.O.R.T.S. Information
Fall 2015 Open Registration for football, cheerleading, soccer, girls volleyball, Fall baseball, cross country, and boys and girls winter basketball will begin on May 1, and continue through May 31 (basketball registration remains open through August 31). Registration forms will be available on the S.P.O.R.T.S. website, at the S.P.OR.T.S. office, at all HSE schools and the Fishers Library. Parents may also register online and can pay online with a credit card, or can print the registration form and submit it to the S.P.O.R.T.S. office with cash or check payment. Credit cards are not accepted in the office.
S.P.O.R.T.S. Girls Volleyball Update - 6th-grade volleyball is full, and a waitlist has been started. Grades 5, 6, and 7/8 are close to capacity. Online registration is closed. To get on the 6th-grade waitlist, or to register for 4th-, 5th- or 7th/8th-grade volleyball, please complete a registration form to the S.P.O.R.T.S. office with cash or check payment.
S.P.OR.T.S. Boys Volleyball - Would your son be interested in learning the game of volleyball? We are exploring opportunities to begin a training league which could develop into a rec league thru S.P.O.R.T.S. There are options for a fall or a spring session. We are open to training boys in grades 4-8. If your son would be interested in participating, OR if you would be interested in helping to organize a league, please contact Marcy Morrolf at morrolf5@yahoo.com. Hope to see you on the court!
Fishers-HSE Youth Cheerleading registration opens May 1 through S.P.O.R.T.S., www.hsesports.org. Cheer is open to girls in grades K-6 for the 2015-2016 school year who live in the HSE school district. This is a drop-in story time for all ages and their families. We will read stories at 10:00 a.m., followed by a craft and play time until noon.

Ages Extended for Summer Keyboarding Camp
This summer an Introduction to Keyboarding is being offered in Fishers to incoming 4th - 7th-graders for the 2015-16 school year. This week-long, half-day camp will help beginning students discover the technique and typing skills necessary to make them successful both in school and life.
Campers will spend each day typing on desktop computers, engaging in fun activities, and learning why the touch-type method is important. Campers will receive a drink and snack each day. All campers will leave camp on Friday with a keyboard blinder and handouts that will help them continue on their journey of becoming a proficient typer.

Summer camp can be overwhelming for parents! Between deciding which week to attend, making sure your little one likes that theme and getting signed up -- there’s a whole lot to think about. Let us answer your questions while your children spend some time getting to know our summer camp counselors.
On Friday, May 29, families are invited to the Nickel Plate District for the Summer Camp Open House. The open house is free to attend and will take place from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., prior to the showing of Big Hero 6 at the amphitheater! The Summer Camp Open House offers a unique opportunity to interact with camp staff prior to the first day of camp. Hopefully this early introduction will eliminate any pre-camp nervousness you or your little one may be experiencing! Counselors can entertain children while you learn more about what our camps can offer your family all summer long.
This also transitions perfectly into Fishers Parks & Recreation’s Spring Movies in the Park presented by XFINITY™, so pack a blanket and stop by concessions before the movie begins!

Create a Father's Day Keepsake
Sometimes the most meaningful gifts aren’t purchases you can make at a store! Celebrate the amazing fathers or father figures in your life with some help from Fishers Parks & Recreation. Your children ages 2 through 10 are invited to participate in a very special program complete with a Father’s Day keepsake to cherish for years to come.
Father’s Day Pottery takes place on Saturday, June 13, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Cumberland Park. This program offers an opportunity to create a special mug that your dad can use for years to come! Mugs are dishwasher-safe and can hold many different drinks.
This program costs $16 for residents and $24 for nonresidents, and registration is due by June 6. Creative Escape will take the pottery piece to fire, and completed pieces will be available for pick up seven days after the program concludes at the Fishers Parks & Recreation office.

Enjoy Meaningful Fun on Father's Day!
Set some time aside to Have a Blast! On Thursday, June 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Roy G. Holland Memorial Park will become a boys-only club, offering dads and their sons opportunities for endless fun right before Father’s Day.
Dads, this program will guide you as you teach your son how to build a marshmallow blaster and protective gear. Your sons will love getting their hands on tools and learning under your watchful eye! After your materials are created, it’s time for target practice. Sons can practice shooting their blaster and refine their aim before group games begin. Group games will include father-versus-son tag and hide-and-seek, which means either the fathers or sons will leave this program with bragging rights!
Fishers Parks & Recreation strives to host events that allow parents opportunities to spend quality time making memories with their children. Register by June 11 to secure a spot for you and your son during this program. If your dad happens to be busy that day, maybe your grandpa is free to attend?
We welcome sons ages 5 through 12, and a male family member to attend with them. Have a Blast! Costs residents $15 and nonresidents $23, and registration goes quickly! Dads, don’t worry about registering yourself, registration is only required for sons.
