IMPORTANT: Chromebook and Hotspot Check in Required
This year the Hillsboro School District will be collecting all hotspots, chromebooks, styluses and chargers from our students. Atfalati Ridge will be turning in devices on June 9th. In some cases, the students will still be using the devices at school after this date. This just gives us a chance to perform check ups on the devices so they are ready for your child next year.
SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WITH ANY HOTSPOTS, CHROMEBOOKS, STYLUSES, AND CHARGERS BY JUNE 9th.
Here are a few things that we need you to do before they turn in their device.
- Please fully charge the device.
- Please label the charger with your child’s name.
- Please remove all stickers but the one with their username on it.
- Please have your child save any locally stored files to a thumb drive. Most files are saved to their google drive but some apps like Minecraft and drawing apps save locally. Due to an update that will happen over the summer, all locally stored files on the device will be deleted.
- Please make sure that you turn in the stylus and both parts of the charger. Many families got replacement chargers during this school year so if you find any extra school chargers at home, please turn them in.
- Please do not replace missing chargers and styluses. The district has specific models they purchase to comply with the service plan we have for the chromebooks.
Field Day
- We have a last minute adjustment to our Field Day plans. We will now be holding Field Day on June 13th from 12:00-2:00pm.
- Please have your student wear comfortable clothing and supportive shoes (tennies are best).
- If you are an approved HSD volunteer we would love your help during this fun event! Email johnsond@hsd.k12.or.us if you are approved and want to help.
Yearbooks 23-24
- Yearbooks have been delivered and will be distributed to students on June 9th.
- Please have your student bring their yearbook on the last day of school. We will have an all school autograph signing session. Students that did not order yearbooks will have an autograph book provided.
- We have VERY limited quantity of extra yearbooks. If you would like to purchase one, they are $15 in the main office.
6th grade promotion
Parents of 6th graders, we we will be hosting the 6th grade promotion ceremony on June 15th at 10:15am in the gym. Please join us for completion, awards, and 6th grade clap out. More information coming from Mrs. Grossen as well.
