The Raid
- John Brown was a very strongly influence abolitionist
- He worked with the underground railroad
- He led a group of 21 men to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia
- He reached the town on October 17th in the morning
- He and his men captured civilians and the Federal Armory
- He planned on arming slaves with weapons
- His plans were spoiled within 36 of the raid
- Robert E. Lee and his men came and captured brown and killed many of his men
