Mission Statement
St. Joseph Catholic School fosters a diverse community of disciples empowered through a rigorous and inclusive Catholic education rooted in Gospel values and service to others.
Mass Reflections
Father Raju talked about Judas betraying Jesus. But unlike Judas, when we get drawn away from Jesus and betray him, we will always get a second chance. - Om
Today's homily talked about how Judas betrayed Jesus for silver. He also said that the Eucharist brings us together as a community. Every time we sin and come back to him he will always forgive us. - Hailey
I believe that the lesson of this homily has two sides. First, Jesus will always forgive you and second, just like Jesus, you must always forgive anyone and everyone, no matter how much they hurt you. - Elena

Important Message for All Parents about Step Up For Students
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 1 on Monday, March 27, expanding school choice options in Florida. The changes will take effect on July 1, 2023. We know many of you have questions about what this means for your family.
Following are some highlights from the bill and we encourage you to visit the Step Up For Students Legislative Updates page for more details. Please continue checking this page for more updates. Step Up For Students will be adding more information as it is available.
Florida Tax Credit Scholarship and Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options
- Expands eligibility for all K-12 students, regardless of household income.
- Converts the scholarships into education savings accounts, or “ESAs” allowing families more flexibility in how they invest in their children’s education.
- For families who will use the scholarship for full-time private school tuition and fees, parents/guardians must agree to have their Scholarship Funding Organization, or “SFO,” commit scholarship funds on behalf of their students before using ESA funds for other authorized uses of program funds.
- Creates a new program called the Personalized Education Program, or "PEP", to serve Florida’s home education population who would like to use state scholarship funds in an education savings account to assist with the educational needs of their Personalized Education Students.

Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities
- The program cap has been increased, allowing more students to benefit from a scholarship.
- Scholarship funds may now be used towards the additional following OPTIONAL items:
- Approved pre-apprenticeship program.
- Fees for services provided by a Choice Navigator. This is an optional service made available to families. Please visit our Legislative Updates page to learn more.

7th Grade Service Project
In honor of St George and St. Hubert, the 7th grade will be collecting toiletries of any size (including travel and sample size) from March 8th to April 14th. Donations should be placed in the collection boxes in the hallway. We will be giving all donations to Catholic Charities and Meals on Wheels. Using the example of our saints, George and Hubert, we are honoring the entire person: spirit, mind, and body through this project. Please consider donating to help our community!

Parish Easter Egg Hunt
Gospel Reading Easter Sunday
Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning,
while it was still dark,
and saw the stone removed from the tomb.
So she ran and went to Simon Peter
and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them,
“They have taken the Lord from the tomb,
and we don’t know where they put him.”
So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb.
They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter
and arrived at the tomb first;
he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in.
When Simon Peter arrived after him,
he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there,
and the cloth that had covered his head,
not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.
Then the other disciple also went in,
the one who had arrived at the tomb first,
and he saw and believed.
For they did not yet understand the Scripture
that he had to rise from the dead.
-Jn 20:1-9
