Citizens Advisory Committee for Facilities Presentation
Back Row: Louise Schrunk, Scott Helms, Joe Minton, Ron Schlitt, Ian Gronbeck
Front Row: Tim Algiers, Jenny Guillen, Amy Wald, Sarah Medla, Dani Kuepper
We appreciate YOUR hardwork!
This great group of citizen leaders are working for all staff, students, and parents to evaluate the facility needs of HUHS. They have grouped the District facility needs into three buckets:
- Infrastructure
- Learning
- Outdoor Facilities
You know how difficult it is to decide what parts of your own home need maintenance. These are some of the questions they are asking:
- What's urgent?
- What can wait?
- What will cost you more down the road if you don't handle it now?
Here is more of their presentation and information they provided to the HUHS School Board at a workshop on Wednesday, February 7th.
The School Board will be hearing more details about possible scenarios at the School Board meeting on Monday, February 26th at 5:45pm in the Drama Lecture Hall. Please thank them for giving their valuable time for our students!

Question Persuade Refer (Q.P.R.) Parent Training
The mission of Q.P.R. is to save lives and reduce suicidal behaviors by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training. Much like CPR, an Emergency Medical Intervention. Q.P.R. is an Emergency Mental Health Intervention for persons with suicidal ideation.
Created in 1995, Q.P.R. is the abbreviation for Question, Persuade and Refer. The intent of the process is to identify and interrupt the crisis and direct the person to the proper care.
Once trained, class participants know how to recognize warning signs,
how to offer hope; and where to get help to save a life.
When: February 21, 2024 (Parent/Teacher Conference Night)
Time: 5:30 β 6:30 p.m.
Location: HUHS in the Drama Lecture Hall
Please contact Dr. Stacy Gahan, Director of Student Services to sign up if you are interested in attending at stacy.gahan@huhs.org or 262-670-3200 Ext. 4100.
