Weekly Update from Mrs. Hibler
Dear Parents:
Welcome back! A fresh new year, rested students and teachers, things are off to a great start. Monday, MAPS testing begins. Please be sure your kiddos are well-rested and come to school having had a nutritious breakfast. Mrs. Congelio and her team have worked long and hard to create a culture of ownership and accountability in both the teachers and the students as it relates to MAPS assessments. A better understanding of the test helps everyone be at ease with the process. Our goal is that with frequency and familiarity, students become comfortable and confident with the MAPS. Assessing three times per year allows us to analyze data that is very helpful in guiding individualized instruction. We remain committed to finding academic success for all of our students here at St. Jude School.
Godspeed,
Mrs. Molly Hibler

The Friday Night Ski Club starts this week
Our first date will be Friday, January 10, 2020. Boston Mills has issued lift tickets for everyone who has registered with them online. They are being shipped to me and I should receive them soon. I received word from Boston Mills today that the ski resort will open starting this weekend. It’s been cold enough that they’ve been able to make snow. At the end of this E-mail, I have enclosed the announcement that I received from Boston Mills.
Even though you will not receive your lift tickets until the first night we go as a club, you are able to use the value passes attached to your lift ticket. Everyone receives for value passes that can be used for an all-day lift ticket and equipment rentals for the low-cost of just $10 for each use. Each value pass can be used by the club member or by a relative or friend. More than one Value Pass can be used at the same time. If you want to use one or more of your value passes during the Christmas holidays all you have to do is go to the ticket window and tell the person there that you are a member of the Friday Night Ski Club and that you want to use one of your Value Passes. They may ask you for some form of identification and/or ask you a security question. They will access your value pass for you on the computer and then when you pay them the $10, you will be issued a lift ticket and rental pass. Shortly after the first of the year, I will send out a series of daily emails giving you all the relevant start-up information that you will need for this year‘s ski season. If you have any questions about how to use a value pass or about anything else, feel free to call me at 440-452–2068.
I hope you all have a great Christmas.
Think Snow,
Frank Humphrey, Director of The Friday Night Ski Club
