Lending Library - 11/12/19
Hello San Bernardino County families,
We wanted to take a moment to wish you a Happy Fall and share some information and updates with all of you.
We always value feedback that we receive and we are making a few positive changes based on concerns families have shared in our county. As the largest county in California geographically, we want to ensure that we are bringing these resources to everyone! We have seen many requests from local families for us to serve a larger area and bring resources to our families county-wide. Several other Inspire schools have started a new program with their lending libraries. They no longer have a building for the lending library, but they now have mobile lending libraries. These schools have had immediate success after implementing this new program and families have shared positive feedback.
Starting this January, we will be taking our lending library on the road! You will still have access to the online lending library system. However, after we return from winter break in January, we will be closing the physical lending library location in order to offer this amazing program to our families. Instead of going into the lending library yourself, we will be sending it to you! You will be able to order items online and pick them up at a location nearby.
We have sixteen Community Coordinators and they plan events, field trips and park days throughout our county. Our mobile lending library will team up with our Community Coordinator events to bring an even better experience to our families. This will be especially helpful to the families that did not live near the original lending library location. Now that we are not limited to four walls, we will be able to serve the families in an even greater capacity.
Our goal is to make this process more efficient for you by having your orders ready and delivered to a location near you. We will walk you through the ordering process if you need assistance and always give superior customer service. Families will be able to drop off curriculum and items purchased with funds that they are no longer using.
This new program will be different. But different doesn’t need to be less, it can be way more! Our fun and helpful librarians can’t wait to see you! We will advertise when and where you will be able to meet the mobile lending library team and we will be sending you more information soon. Thank you for your continued partnership, flexibility and dedication to your students and our school community.

Local Girls Twirling High Past Expectations
Three girls in the High Desert area are thanking Inspire Charter School for helping them have the schedule flexibility and academic funding to pursue their love for baton twirling. These girls have put hundreds of hours into learning routines, practicing, and performing for both entertainment and competitions. The sky is the limit for these girls when it comes to twirling!
The role that Inspire School has had in allowing the opportunity for these girls to twirl has been amazing. It is difficult for the girls to practice late afternoon, as the local area is too windy to successfully practice baton twirling. It is an outside sport, and morning hours are great to practice, as there is very little wind. Homeschooling allows the kids to baton twirl in the morning, and work on their academic studies throughout the day. The flexibility of homeschooling allows the girls to take private lessons during the day also.
It has been the best of both worlds for the girls. They are able to achieve academic success on their own learning time, while being able to balance their homework with their passions...baton twirling. Receiving several medals and awards so far for their twirling, these girls know the sky is the limit when it comes to the sport. The girls have high expectations when it comes to academics and twirling competitively.
This is just another reason why Inspire's unique homeschooling options are so wonderful for families like this. Thanks Inspire!
Olivia Espino
Olivia Espino (age 12)
Olivia started twirling in 2017 at age 10. Since beginning, she has performed on stage, in parades, and competitively. Last year, she won Miss Majorette for her age division. Her most recent wins include two 1st place trophies in "X Strut" and "Show Twirl" events. Olivia plans to continue twirling into college.
Presley Iddings
Presley Iddings (age 8)
Presley started twirling in 2017, one week after her sixth birthday. Presley loves baton twirling. She has performed at Knott's Berry Farm, in several parades, and in different competitions. Her most recent wins include 1st place in "Best Show", and 2nd place in "Solo Twirl". Presley loves twirling, and plans to teach it someday.
Gracie Iddings
Gracie Iddings (age 5)
Gracie has been twirling less than 2 months now, but has been watching her big sister, Presley, twirl for the last 2 years. Since starting baton classes, Gracie has performed in a parade, and finished 2nd place in "Basic Strut" giving her a trophy at her very first competition. Gracie's favorite part about baton twirling besides that it's "fun", is being part of a team!
