Caughman Road Elementary School

Hour of Code

Caughman Road Elementary celebrated Computer Education Week, December 7-11, with lots of hands-on coding practice. As participants in the Hour of Code, we joined millions of students worldwide through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming. Students learned to program games such as Angry Birds, MineCraft and Star Wars through the Hour of Code website. Lower Richland High School's teacher cadets joined in the fun and offered help and encouragement.

Special thanks to Mrs. Brewer's LR students: Samae' Pace, Edricka Palmer, Ayanna Bolton, and Jakerra Coward.

The Hour of Code is just an initial step on a journey to learn more about how technology works and how to create software applications. Students can continue the fun by visiting https://code.org/learn.
