I would like to give KUDOS to my entire instructional coaching team for supporting me when I need it, especially Anndrea, who kindly set aside her own work one day this week to help me out with mine.
I would also like to share KUDOS to the entire Science Department, for doing what they can every day to help our students achieve. They may not see the daily incremental effort, but the attitudes they bring to their rooms every day and the willingness to try new things is making a huge difference in the lives of our students. Thank you all, and Happy Holidays!

So happy to have Barnhart back with us!

Isabel Johns and Pamela Anderson worked their tails off on a project for Student Council, and Isabel even took work home to do for a project for the entire staff that's in the works. Lest we forget, they are volunteers with huge hearts. Many thanks for the help they offer.
Jennifer Bloch offered some great resources for our students' upcoming book study while I had a pity party. That's what it means when your team has your back. Thank you, Jennifer, from the kids, and from me.
Sandra Saucedo and Eloisa Aguilera (aka "Saucedo 2) made many calls to parents, found things, delivered things, and generally made my life so much easier. I don't know if we realize how hard they work. Go to the office. You'll be dizzy.
Clarissa Lopez jumped into the action to volunteer to help with Student Council elections. What a gal!
Anndrea and Sofie. You know.

Kudos to the science department for joining the millions of students all over the world in introducing students to coding during the Hour of Code. All 6th and 7th graders took part and 8th grade will participate at a later date. We have some budding programmers at Hernandez Middle School.
- Irma Bauer
Kudos to the Spanish department for the wonderful displays outside their rooms. What a great way to incorporate meaningful lessons into student work displays.

Thank you VERY much to Alicia Selestino who goes above and beyond on a daily basis working with our students! I have an extra THANK YOU Mrs. Selestino for helping me out translating with a parent.
Thank you Eloisa for assisting me with a phone call! You are always so friendly with a big smile when I walk into the front office, it is a nice way to be greeted.
