SV Week 34 Update
We've Made it through State Testing!
Thanks for all of your efforts with AASA testing over the past few weeks! We are just about through all Reading and Math tests (though we have some makeup tests next week), and 3rd grade has their Oral Reading Fluency test left next week. We also want to remind you that we have had several cases of the flu reported this week and it there have been cases in most grade levels. If you child is feeling sick with flu like symptoms, we strongly urge you to have them tested for the flu as it is going around our campus.
8th Grade parents, our promotion tickets are now available in the front office for pick up and must be signed for by a parent or guardian. There are four tickets for each 8th grade student. There are no replacement tickets so please keep them safe until the evening of the promotion ceremony on May 18th. Thank you and we look forward to giving our promoting Vipers a nice send off.
Next week is "Volunteer Appreciation Week" at Sierra Verde. SV could not be the amazing campus it is without the hundreds of volunteer hours that are freely given to SV each and every year. We would like to thank all of our community and parent volunteers for their tireless efforts over this past year. If you would like to leave a kind note or gesture of appreciation for any of our amazing classroom volunteers, please bring it to the office or stop by to write a quick note and we will be sure it gets to them promptly.

PTSO Needs Your Help!
We need your help. Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up. It’s the week of May 2nd-6th. We’re looking for parents/families to create signs for the front windows of the school and around the school as well. We’ll also need the doors of the teacher’s classrooms decorated as well.
You will have access to our campus to come hang posters on May 1 to celebrate our SV teaching staff. You are allowed to come to school to use the workroom, die cut machine, and other materials you would need and can work on these posters and decorations at your own house or team up with others and work on them together. Prior to Covid, the group of Volunteers have met on Sunday at school, the day before Teacher Appreciation Week to hang up all of the signs and window decorations.
This is a big undertaking and we need all the help we can get!
We will provide you with a list of all the teachers and staff who make Sierra Verde the best place to be. Please let us know as soon as possible if you’re able to help out!
Next Wednesday, April 20 is PTSO Restaurant Night at Babbos on 67th ave and Beardsley. Let them know you are with Sierra Verde and we get a portion of all sales donated back to the SV PTSO!
Thank you for your support!
