Sandwich Day deserves celebration!
What is it?
November 3 is the birthday of John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich. Legend has it that the 18th century English noble wanted to eat a meal with one hand during all-day gambling, so that he would not have to interrupt the game. He asked for his lunch meat to be served between two slices of bread, and the sandwich was born! The sandwich probably predates the Earl, but as his name represents the food, we celebrate Sandwich Day on his birthday.
A majestic beauty.
The man the Sandwich is named after.
Another amazing creation.
Why should it be bigger?
Many children and adults enjoy this amazingly majestic creation. I myself know that many children in the cafeteria enjoy a sandwich at lunch. I know that the sandwich is underrated, but just think about all the times you have enjoyed one, and tell me if it deserves celebration.
