Dress Code Policy

We are noticing some students are starting to come to school wearing items that do not meet the district wide dress code policy.

Upper garments- no spaghetti straps, please ensure straps are at least 1 1/2 inches wide. Tops must cover the student's waist and not expose midriff while student is doing normal classroom activities (studying, raising hands, reaching, etc.)

Lower garments- shorts must be an appropriate length to cover the student's buttock. Shorty shorts are not permitted.

Footwear- Students in K-6 must wear footwear that is safe and appropriate for recess and physical education.

The full BPS Dress Code Policy #5511 can be found here: Click on link, then policies (upper right), then Students, then Dress and Grooming.

Lost and Found

We have accumulated quite a bit of lost and found items during the first semester. If your student has misplaced something, please have them go by and check for it in the Lost and Found area. The students pass right by the area on their way to lunch every day in the hallway before they enter the cafeteria. We will be clearing out the items the week before Spring Break and donating them to a local agency.

Thank you!

Morning Mile

There was a big milestone this week as 3rd grader Creed McNall was the first student to run 300 miles this year! Congratulations Creed! Fast on his heels were 3rd grader Nour McGrourty and 1st grader Amelia Drapeau achieving 100 miles. Keep up the hard work!

The next race in the Run Brevard race series is the Parrot Pace 3k on February 11. Training for a race would be a great start to 2023! All participants 14 and under earn points for Team Gemini. Youth registration is $20 with a no shirt/no medal option for only $10. Every race you run will earn credit for 25 laps (straws) and a fun charm for your Morning Mile necklace.

All are welcome! We hope you will come and join us 7:15-7:45 on the field just south of Gemini. You can get notified about details regarding Gemini’s Morning Mile Program through the Remind App - text @dee9f2f to 81010 or go to Questions - email Melissa McNall at
