Halloween School Parties/Parade

Our Mustangs will be celebrating Halloween at Martell on Monday, October 31st! Our PTO room parents will be working with the classroom teachers to organize a party at the end of the day.

Students will be able to bring their school appropriate costumes to school to change into prior to the party. If your child’s costume is comfortable and not distracting to learning, they may wear it to school. If your child's costume has a weapon this obviously cannot come to school (no swords, guns, knives, etc.). Also, please leave masks at home.

While we recognize that Halloween is a fun time for students and some like to dress scary, please be considerate of the ages of students at Martell and use discretion. Bloody and gory costumes that promote violence are not school appropriate even on Halloween. Administration has the right to deny a costume or accessory if not school appropriate.

Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Mustangs will parade outdoors beginning at 1:45pm. Parents are welcome watch outside in the marked off area. After the parade, classroom parties will begin indoors and end at 3:00pm. Martell will need to be cleared of visitors at this time due to dismissal.

If you are coming to the parade and your child's classroom party, please come to the parade at 1:30pm to get signed in at the outdoor table. This way you are set to come inside after the parade.

Please NO siblings at class parties.

Trunk or Treats was AWESOME!

A HUGE thank you to Sarah Yates, Jamie Glabb, Michelle and Jeff Phillips, our PTO and their team that worked hard to make this event possible.

Thanks to all the AMAZING trunks! They were the most creative I have seen!!

Thank you, parents, for donating 10,000 pieces of candy!!!

It was another awesome Martell event. The kids had a BLAST and we are thankful for the beautiful weather as well!

I especially loved seeing our students and families happy and building our Martell community. You are all so special!

It's SOCKTOBER at MArtell!

Martell Outreach

Martell's Student Council has chosen Socktober for their first outreach!

From now until October 31, new socks donations will be accepted.

We look forward to counting the socks and having them delivered to those in need.

They student council is going to each classroom and teaching what this is, as well as giving each class their very own Socktober eating box to collect socks in!

We applaud their leadership under Mrs. Childress and Ms. Keaser and look forward to the good they will do this year on behalf of Martell!

CHANGES TO YOUR CHILD'S DISMISSAL

~If your child's pick up will be different than normal, please ALWAYS send a note to your child’s teacher.

~Please do NOT rely on email to a teacher. Teachers are teaching during the day, and sometimes cannot get back to their computer if it's a late message! We do not want to miss a dismissal message.

~We will not vary your child’s end of the day routine unless we have a note from you.

~Should you have an emergency and need to change his/her schedule, please call the office before 2:30pm
