LA Regional Food Bank

LA Regional Food Bank

On March 7, 2015, the National Board and Los Angeles Chapter officers of ISFFA spent their morning at Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to support the drive to help fight hunger. Volunteers from ISFFA and other participating organizations sorted, inspected and repackaged donated perishable items collected from local food drives. The collective efforts by everyone involved in this activity had a tremendous impact on communities in city of LA and surrounding cities who are in need of food.

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children

The Chicago chapter volunteered their weekend time on March 21, 2015 and hand-packed meals specially formulated for malnourished children. The meals were sent around the world where they're used to feed orphanages, schools, and clinics to break the cycle of poverty.

IN MEMORIAM

Regina Tanedo

- April 21, 2015


Regina was the Assistant Controller of Luxe Hotels for Rodeo Drive and Sunset Boulevard properties. She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelors of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Prior to working for Luxe Hotels, Regina had an extensive experience in the Hospitality industry as she previously worked for Regent and Marriott Hotels.


Reynaldo Padilla

April 9, 1945 - July 1, 2015


It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Rey Padilla, one of ISFFA’s original Advisers. Rey was the retired Managing Partner of Padilla & Company, LLP the CPA Firm he founded in New York City in 1988. Rey was also an adjunct professor at various colleges in New York City like the York College – CUNY, Queens College, New York University, USDA Graduate School and Pace University. In addition to his busy professional schedule, he was also involved in various non-profit and civic organizations serving his local community and the Philippines. He became the founding adviser of ISFFA and had been an ardent supporter of its mission and vision. Upon retirement, he moved to Ewa Beach in Hawaii with his wife.
