The Effects of Type 1 Diabetes
Jackson Becher
Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes is when the pancreas cells do not create enough insulin. The insulin is used to help the glucose go from the blood into cells. Since insulin is not being produced there is too much glucose in the bloodstream causing high blood sugar. Also, the glucose is not going into the cells which starve them. Type 1 diabetes cannot be cured but is treated by insulin injections.
