Walk Up Dismissal Reminders
Parents, if your walk-up child will be picked up by someone else (a neighbor, relative) in the afternoon, your child must bring a permission note from you. We realize that you may be sharing pick-up responsibilities with your friend, but we do not want to release your child to anyone else without written permission.
Additionally, students may not meet their parents in the parking lot or further down the sidewalk. All parents must walk up to the receiving area to gather their children. We want to expedite this process quickly so that we can start the car rider line; however, safety will remain our priority.
Once you have gathered your children, please go ahead and exit the area so that we can monitor the remaining students.
Thank you!

7 Habits
This week our 2nd-5th graders attended a Job Fair in our cafeteria. We believe that all students at our school are leaders, and hard work of each person - big or small - is what makes Lone Star so special. All grade levels have leadership opportunities in their classroom and their hallways, but we also have campus level roles available for students to consider as well. When you visit Lone Star, you may see students opening doors at car rider line, producing & broadcasting the daily announcements, reading with Kindergartners, assisting PreK students with library checkout, organizing lost & found items, and giving tours to guests. These are just a few of the many leadership roles our boys and girls will be proudly performing throughout the year.
