A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
I am extremely grateful for all of the hard work our students and staff have put forth during this very unique first half of the school year. I continue to be impressed by their flexibility, perseverance, and positive attitudes. I want to wish the entire Paddock community a safe and happy Winter Break and look forward to seeing everyone in 2022!
Sincerely-
Jason Christ
Principal
Classroom Expectations Refresh
When we return from any break, teachers will be revisiting building and classroom expectations with students. Doing this allows us to proactively approach behavior and refresh expectations with students.
During the first week back from winter break, every school in the district will be engaging in Whole-School Expectations revisits and Station Rotations. We are also asking that teachers utilize the first weeks back from break to revisit classroom expectations so that we can start the new year safely and successfully.

Summer Reading Program
The Center for Literacy at National Louis University is offering a Summer Reading Program to help students who are experiencing reading and/or writing difficulties.
Tutors are licensed teachers who are earning their graduate degree as a Reading Specialist.
Students receive one-to-one tutoring in reading and writing one hour per day, four mornings per week, for five weeks.
The program will run from June 27-July 28, and daily attendance (virtual or in person) is mandatory.
See the flyer below for details. For more information or an application, please visit the Center for Literacy website or contact:
Dr. Mary Hoch Director, Center for Literacy SRPApplications@nl.edu
Masks
Please make sure you are sending at least 1-2 additional clean masks with your child each day. These masks should be well fitting and cover both the student's nose and mouth without the student needing to continually pull the mask up. Having a well fitting mask is imperative to keeping our students safe and limiting close contacts, should a positive case arise. Thank you for your help in this.
Health Office
As a reminder, if you student is showing any signs of COVID-19, please keep them home from school. Additionally, if they awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, we encourage you to have them stay home until those results come in. Being able to certify that your student is healthy and able to come to school will be extremely beneficial as we move into the colder months of the year.
If your child has a Health Care plan for asthma or an allergy OR has medication they need to take at school, please make sure you read the linked documents and get in contact with Mrs. Pool, our Paddock nurse. You can reach her at 847-963-5802 or poolk@ccsd15.net.
