Dear Families-Read on for the News

Empowering Parents Grant Program

The Empowering Parents Grant program is aimed at addressing learning loss among Idaho students. Families making less than $60,000 have priority status for receiving funds. Recipients can receive up to $1,000 per student, or $3,000 per household to help families cover the cost of a number of educational needs — such as a laptop, internet access, learning materials, or physical or occupational therapy. The grant program process is still in development, however parents can fill out this form to receive updates on the program. The program will open later this summer.

Bus Emergency Evacuation Drills

During the week of May 16-20, the MSD Bus Garage will be conducting Emergency Evacuation Drills on their afternoon bus routes. This practice drill will add an additional 7-10 minutes to the route. These drills are mandatory training required by the State Department of Education Transportation Division. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the Bus Garage at 208-882-3922.
