SHISD Mid-Week Message

Weekly Superintendent's Message for Spring Hill ISD

Panther Night Out - April 12th 6:00-8:00pm! Don't Miss It!!

Panther Night Out

The Spring Hill teachers and staff have done an incredible job of getting students ready for the STAAR Tests and End of Course Exams. All of their efforts and hard work came to fruition this week as students in 3rd through 10th grade all tested in at least one subject.

The testing will end this Thursday for the week and it will be time to celebrate. I want to invite the entire community out to Panther Stadium Thursday night for an evening of celebration, food, and fellowship.

The evening will consist of a DJ for the kids, bounce houses, petting zoo, pony rides and several activities for students. Many community businesses will be there with fun games to play. Hot dogs, corn dogs, and snow-cones will be provided. The best part is that everything is FREE!

Make plans to attend this great night! Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm.

UIL State Honor Crew

Juniors Seth Pasel and Emily Riddle are on their road to state. The two were accepted for UIL One Act Play State Honor Crew after waiting what felt like a lifetime according to Pasel. A total of fifty are accepted out of the entire state and two of Spring Hill’s best thespians made the cut. Not only were they both accepted from our district but they were the only two accepted, to our knowledge, in the East Texas area.

Both were in utter shock when told the results. Riddle says, “I have been waiting for a moment like this for three years, therefore, when I found out I broke down and cried. Finally, some of my work is paying off.” Seth Pase will be trying something new at State as he will be taking on the role of States Stage Manager. Emily Riddle will be continuing one of her many passions at state for she is the 2018 State Photographer for UIL One Act Play. The two are tremendously excited about the memories they will create and the knowledge they can bring back to what they call home, their theatre.
