The first day of school is August 31st, the building doors will open at 7:00 A. M. For safety and security reasons, exterior doors will be locked until 7:00 A. M. Students who arrive at school between 7:00 A. M. and 7:20 A. M. should report to the following areas: 7th Grade - Cafeteria, 8th Grade - Gym and 9th Grade - Auditorium. Breakfast will be available to students. All students should bring their schedules with them and we will be following an "A" Day. Students should be in Homeroom by 7:30.
If you did not pick up your child's schedule during our Open House you may print a schedule from Parent Portal. Students will also receive a fresh copy in Homeroom on the first day of school in case any last minute changes were made. Please be sure to visit the Lenape website to view team letters and other important information related to the opening of school: http://www.cbsd.org/lenape.
Have a wonderful last week of summer vacation and we look forward to a successful 2016-17 school year.
Traffic Flow - Very Important!
Between the hours of 7:00-8:00 A.M. and 2:00-3:00 P.M. all traffic should enter off Rt. 202 (W. State St.) and exit onto West Street. This traffic procedure was established for the protection of students. Please help us make this a safe procedure. The police help to enforce this traffic flow.
Morning Arrival Procedure
All students arriving prior to 7:20 A.M. (parent drop-off, walkers, or bus students) MUST enter the specific doors noted on the map and report directly to the following areas: 7th Grade - Cafeteria, 8th Grade - Gym and 9th Grade - Auditorium until 7:20 A.M. (This includes students with musical instruments and/or sports equipment.)
CHORAL ROOM DOORS – Bus students are dropped off at these doors.
GYMNASIUM DOORS – Students walking to school or being dropped off by car should enter here.
At 7:18 A.M. all students will be dismissed from their designated areas to their lockers and homeroom to get ready for the school day. Breakfast items are available for sale during this time as well. Homeroom begins promptly at 7:30 A.M.
For the safety or students and staff, please be aware of our school policy concerning entering our building. All exterior doors are locked and all visitors must enter through the main office doors. Please be prepared to buzz in - state your name, reason for visit and show a picture ID.
We understand this may take a few extra minutes during your visit but we feel the time is important for the safety of all
Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Back to School Night - Thursday, September 8th
Begins in HOMEROOM at 6:45 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet your child's teachers for this school year and to find out about the courses they will be taking this year.
All parents should report to their child's homeroom by 6:45 PM. At that time there will be a brief presentation via the TV, distribution of your child's schedule/s and other important announcements.
Parking at Lenape may be difficult on Back to School Night. We have made arrangements with the Baptist Church, C.B. West and Doyle Elementary School to accommodate "overflow" parking needs.
Students should listen to the morning announcements regarding athletic team tryouts. Information will also be posted on Lenape's website under Announcements.
The Lenape Middle School Athletic Department is excited to announce that we are now offering the convenience of online registration through partner company, FamilyID

We are still looking for a parent to be the school’s CB Cares Boomerang Liaison. Duties include PR for the program and helping to organize two Boomerang breakfast events. Minimal meeting time required.
