Future 6th and 7th Graders
MEPI would like to register at least 30 IPS students for the fall session. Financial aid is available, and the program opportunity is $35 for the year.
MEPI HISTORY MISSION VISION We encourage students in grades 6-12 to excel in their studies, with a special emphasis on math, science, and English. Our concentrated programs provide a solid foundation for minority students who plan to enter into fields related to engineering or information technology. Our hope is that these students will eventually expand the pool of experienced candidates for Indianapolis corporations. One of the strengths of our program is the quality of mentors that are involved. Our mentors are current or former industry professionals who develop close relationships with the students they work with. These relationships are key to students’ success. The Minority Engineering Program of Indianapolis (MEPI) was established in 1986 with a goal to expose minority students within our community to key concepts related to STEM Careers. Students are encouraged to excel in their studies while placing emphasis on Math and Science. MEPI’s concentrated programs provide a strong foundation for minority students who plan to enter into the Engineering or Information Technology fields.

MEPI is a nationally recognized premier STEM program noted for building relationships between diverse mentors and students.
