May It Be of Benefit

Hello Families,

Two weeks ago, Shasta County schools celebrated "The Week of the Administrator" also known as Principals' Week. True to form, Shasta Meadows outdid themselves letting me know that staff and students have grateful, generous hearts. Teachers had students complete a sheet describing what goes on in my office, what I'm in charge of, and what I do when I'm not at work. Needless to say, the students' answers were hilarious. Lots of students think I drink coffee and watch out to "keep the school safe" but my favorite response to the question, "What is the principal in charge of," was "spreading love around the school." This student accurately perceived that my number one objective is to create an environment where students feel safe and cared for. Students grow, learn and succeed on such a foundation. Thank you, families, for partnering with us. I truly believe that neighborhood schools are where the magic happens.

With gratitude,

Mrs. Gold
