Hard Drive/SSD

A hard drive is a drive that is put into the computer and when a file or application is saved it is saved to the hard drive. The arm (or the head) writes the information on the floppy disk. Once a file has been saved it can be retrieved at a later date. A hard drive has moving pieces within it while a SSD (Solid State Drive) does not.

The Solid State Drive has the same principals as a hard drive, it stores information, files and applications that can later be retrieved and used or read. But a Solid State Drive processes information faster and more efficiently.
