A quick look at great technology to make your life easier
Kahoot
Kahoot is a student response system for creating game-show like quizzes. Students can use any device whether it is a phone, computer, iPad, etc. They easily access your quiz and can earn a spot on the leaderboard by answering questions quickly and correctly.
Kahoot does not require students to log in or have an account. They can easily navigate to kahoot.it and enter the pin provided to join the quiz you have created.
Introduction to a unit or lesson
Instead of using a boring KWL chart, find out what students know about your new unit by having them use Kahoot!
Ghost Mode
Students can use Ghost Mode to replay the same Kahoot over and over. This can help students achieve mastery on a certain skill.
Perk Up Staff Meetings
Almost everyone has a phone so why not have others in your staff meetings become more involved in the meeting and bring out some competitive fun!
Creating a Kahoot quiz
Creating a Kahoot quiz is a simply process.
- Create a Kahoot account (if you don't already have one)
- Click on the type of Kahoot you would like to create (quiz, discussion, or survey)
- Title your quiz
- Enter your questions
- It's ready to go!
Evaluating Kahoot results
You can download results and evaluate which skills you need to spend more time on and which skills your students have mastered.
