From the Classroom of Ms. Newsom

August 2016

About Ms. Newsom

My full name Mackenzie Newsom. I graduated in May of 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University. One of my favorite things in the world is giraffes! I have a large collection of all things giraffe! Some of my hobbies are crafting and camping, but I have a real love for dance. I have been involved with dance since age 8, and I am currently an instructor for the A2J Crew Dance Kompany in Zanesville. I look forward to getting to know you and your child over the next few weeks!

If a student is absent on the Friday a homework packet is given, they will receive the packet on the day they return and will be expected to complete it one week from the day they received the homework.

This Year...

Over the course of the year your student will learn more about adding and subtracting, regrouping, place value, skip counting, and more! They will also learn to write narratives and informative/expository writings. They will do science investigations on plants and animals, and learn about their community.
