Principal's Corner - The Final Countdown!
Hello Parents and Families,
Welcome to Quarter 4, we're almost there!
Ohio State Testing begins for our scholars in 16 days! Please make sure students are in school and on time as we will be reviewing content for our end of year exams.
I want to sincerely thank those parents and grandparents who came out and volunteered last week (prior to break). Thank you to Ms. Hannah and Ms. Young for providing lunch for the teachers on Friday. It was much appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering please reach out! It takes our whole village to raise these scholars.
7th Grade Re-Enrollment continues this week. Parents please complete the 2022-23 SY form if your 7th grade scholar is returning so we can save their 8th grade seat. 7th grade signing day will be this Friday March 25th at 11:00 a.m. Make sure that your scholar has re-enrolled so that they may participate and receive their A+ swag!
Select students will receive permission slips to visit Franklinton High School on Thursday, March 24th as we prepare our scholars for 9th grade. Please be on the lookout and return the signed slips to Ms. Brewington or Ms. Wisher ASAP.
To kickoff our testing season we are planning our first A+ Napoleon Pre-Test Pep Rally featuring our drumline and other student performances! The pep rally will take place on Friday April 1st at 1:30 p.m. Save the Date! Look out for our Post-Test Picnic event details coming soon!
I hope everyone enjoyed their spring break, now its back to business! We are building up our scholars with confidence and the skills they need to be successful today and in the future.
Yours In Education,
Ms. K. Brewington

From Our Office
Uniforms and Dress Code
Unfortunately, scholars are not permitted to wear hooded sweatshirts of any kind inside the building. This privilege was lost due to repeated violations. Fortunately, the weather is warming up! Please let you scholar know that their outerwear/hoods/hats go immediately in their lockers upon arrival and to be left there until they are dismissed.
If a student does not put their outwear/hood away upon arrival, they will be asked to take it to the main office, where it can be picked up at the end of the day.
We have received some of our uniform order, but we have mostly the larger sizes. If you scholar does not wear an appropriate school shirt/top we will loan them an over-sized polo for the day.
If a scholar refuses to comply with dress code, we will be contacting home.
Cell Phones and Devices
If a student does not put their device(s) away upon arrival, they will be asked to take their device to the main office, where it can be picked up at the end of the day. Repeated violations and/or refusal will lead to an administrative suspension.
A few reminders:
- Kickboard is our Positive Behavior Support System. Please download the App! Email Ms. Brewington direction for login information.
Parents and A+ Families, we need your support! We are recruiting available guardians and family to volunteer on campus. Volunteer time slots between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will vary depending on volunteer's schedule available. Please contact Ms. Brewington if interested. It takes a village to raise and support our scholars!
For all transportation issues and needs call 614-365-5074. Questions about the compliance monitoring system may be directed to the Office of Field Services and Transportation at TransportationCompliance@education.ohio.gov.
For technology support please email firstname.lastname@example.org. All students know their log-in information, but if there are any issues please let us know. Parents may log in to scholar accounts at anytime online or through the Google Classroom app.
As we move into Testing Season the main office is in need of the following donations:
- Mini Bottled Water
- Facial Tissues
- Pencils/Mechanical Pencils
Testing Begins In April!!!
