Principal's Message
Dear Royal Families,
We hope you and your family had a wonderful and safe Spring Break. The time between Spring Break and the end of the year is typically full of exciting events. One of these is our 8th grade continuation traditions. We will have more information about that soon, but until then please save these dates. For our 8th graders who attend their live day on B days, save May 25th and for our 8th graders whose live sessions are on A days, save May 26th.
If you still haven't completed the parent survey, please do so now. We can't become the school we want to become without your feedback and input! There is also a contest among middle schools about the number of parents who take the survey. We are the largest middle school and we want to win that contest. Please help us! It is only open for a few more days!
Finally, the recent events in Boulder brings up many feelings for me including anger, frustration, sadness and grief. That particular King Soopers is the one my mom shops at and has since I was 2 1/2 years old. It is part of my community and my home. If you find yourself unable to speak to what has happened, here are a few tips from the National Association of School Psychologists that may be helpful. This past week I was reminded of the importance of community. Quist's vision of Developing Hearts and Minds speaks to supporting our students' social emotional learning and development as well as building a strong community. As we return to school next week, our mental health team is available to support students. You or they can contact them by email.

27J Online Academy Applications
27J Schools understands that over the course of the past year, some of our students have acquired a preference for online learning over in-person learning and would like to continue along this educational pathway.
In order to meet the needs of every student, 27J Schools has created an Online Academy to best serve the learning needs of students who prefer this mode of education.
If your student(s) is interested in enrolling in our new Online Academy, please take a moment to complete and submit an application. Only completed applications will be considered for enrollment. A separate application must be completed for each student you would like to attend 27J's Online Academy.
