Week 11

This week we are starting on Unit 6, Los Deportes y Los Ocios (Sports and Leisure activities). All of Unit 5 assignments should have been completed this past Friday, March 31. Please encourage your student to stay on task with assignments. As stated in the Schedule of Assignments, NCVPS does not observe a spring break. (See below.) If students are on Spring Break, this is a good time for students to catch up or work ahead!

Students have 3 opportunities to attend an RLC for Unit 6 this week and 2 next week. Please encourage your student to look at the schedule and attend a live class as they will have interaction with the teacher and can ask questions. If your student is unable to attend an RLC for Unit 6, tell them to contact me for information on making up the RLC.

Have you seen your student's grades? You can easily do that by being a CANVAS observer in our class!

Parents and facilitators can now download the Canvas Parent app in both the iTunes and Google Play stores

Parents and facilitators will need student login information to set up their parent accounts. This will have to come from the school. NCVPS cannot supply login credentials to parents or facilitators. Check with your school's e-learning advisor (ELA).

The Canvas Parent app is designed to provide visibility into a student's progress at a glance. Canvas Parent allows both parents and facilitators to:

  • View assignment descriptions and due dates
  • Set reminders for assignments
  • View assignment grades
  • View course grades
  • Set grade alerts
  • View course announcements
