Giesinger Gazette
March 26, 2023
🌺 Giesinger Family,
Last week was a great week and it was good to see our students back from Spring Break.
Our 4th graders did an exceptional job Saturday at the Conroe Feeder Festival Choir. They were able to join other feeder elementary school led by our very own Mrs. Moore and enjoyed a day of bonding, fun, and music. Their voices were so sweet when they performed and they represented our school perfectly.
Speaking of 4th grade, our students will take a brief field trip to Cryar Tuesday to get a glimpse of 5th grade life. If your child is attending Cryar next year, you are invited to a parent orientation at Cryar Intermediate School from 5:30-6:30 this Thursday, March 30th. Your student will bring home a flyer Tuesday after their visit with more details.
We hope to see you at McTeacher night this week, 2nd grade teachers will be hosting.
We are excited to see you Friday for our annual PTO carnival. Thank you to our families who have donated to our grade level baskets and given their time to make this event possible. It will be a great evening of fellowship and fun with our Giesinger community.
We will see you tomorrow Eagles!
Sincerely,
Amy Barber
Giesinger Elementary Principal

🌺 Athletic Training Month 🌺
Did you know that March is Athletic Training Month? In elementary, we would like to honor Mr. Collins, Mrs. Edgar, and Mrs. Gentles at this time. They are the perfect PE Dream Team. They see our students the most consistently throughout our school and we could not have asked for a better trio. These educators work hard to plan engaging and fun lessons while teaching our students the importance of healthy choices that will last a lifetime. Thank you for making such a difference on our campus for every student every day. We love you!
🌺 New Playground Structures Have Arrived 🌺
The wait is over, the new playground structures that were bought last semester by our PTO have arrived and we cannot wait for our students to enjoy them.
This could not be done without the support of our community participating in events such as fundraisers and our carnival. Thank YOU PTO and Giesinger Community!
🌺 Giesinger Lunch Drop Off 🌺
We have seen an increase in student lunches being dropped off mid-day, many very close to student lunch times. Please send students to school with their lunches so that we do not have to interrupt instructional time to call them from class.
We do understand that things happen and lunches get forgotten and have to be dropped off, however, please make every effort to have the lunches for the day here by the start of our first lunch at 11:00 am.
We are also always open to visitors for lunch if you would like to bring something special to your student. As you can imagine, our front office staff is very busy with check-in, check-out, answering phones, as well as mid-day elementary business so your help with lunches is greatly appreciated.
🌺 Giesinger Student Council 🌺
Our student council does amazing things for our school. Now, they are extending it to our community. We are collecting the items below to donate to our local animal shelter. We would love your support!
