Principals Message
Hello Harper Families,
Congratulations to ALL students for completing the 2019-2020 School Year. As you sit back and reflect on the school year, I hope it was a positive experience for your child(ren). I am sure there were highs and lows but in the end, I hope they were able to grow both academically and social-emotionally. I know this particular end of the school year tested us and challenged us in unique ways, but I am SO proud of everyone for their perseverance, flexibility, and effort to come together to make it as positive of an experience as possible. We are all in this together and nothing exhibited this more than the reverse parade on Tuesday. I have not smiled that much in a long time - it was truly inspirational to see all the students again and have this special memory together. I hope I never experience another reverse parade like this one, but this was a fun day and one that I will never forget. I hope you enjoyed the experience too. Thank you for making it so much fun for all of us standing in front of Harper!
I have said this over and over again but it continues to be true… the students are amazing! How they adjusted to remote learning overnight is tremendous and we are so appreciative of their hard work and positive attitudes through it all. Parents, your support throughout the whole school year but especially at the end is fantastic and heartwarming. The Harper community is special because it is filled with such dedicated and caring families. THANK YOU!! And I want to also thank the teachers for their commitment to Harper. As educators, we pride ourselves on giving it our all for our second family, our students.
Personally, thank you for welcoming me into the Harper family this school year. I look forward to continuing to work together to make Harper an even stronger school community in the years to come.
Congratulations again on finishing the school year. I wish everyone a relaxing, fun, and safe summer! All the best to you and your families. And I look forward to connecting again soon to begin the 2020-21 School Year!
Aaron

If you missed the webinar, a recording of the webinar is accessible here, and if you would like to review the presentation materials, the presentation slides are available here.
Returning Books: If you have library books or other classroom books checked out, there will be a cart outside the front entrance on Friday, June 12 and Monday, June 15. If you have any questions or have a missing book, please feel free to email our librarian, Mrs. Pinney, at pinneym@wilmette39.org.
- Common Sense Media has provided some summer learning podcast ideas. Check out this resource HERE.
