- Shout out to Kathy for all her hard work with our striving readers! They've grown so much this year!
- I want to appreciate Mariya for holding down the 2nd grade class last week so they could have a little bit more consistency. I felt comfortable knowing she was there until Jodi gets back.

- Thank you Allison and Claudia for all of your hard work on the budget this week. It makes such a crucial difference for our school.
- Thank you Julia and Moni for leading fantastic 100th day of school activities!
Actions Requested
This Week:
2nd-5th Grade Teachers: The SRI and SMI are here! Please reference the schedule for any scheduling questions. Take time to prepare your students accordingly and reference this document for best practices. Let Maddie know if students need to make-up the test(s) due to absence and reach out the Maddie with questions.
Spelling Bee: Email Ryan with list of Spelling Bee contestants by Friday 2/5.
Math Night: Sign up to lead a workshop or volunteer for Family Math Night on Thursday, February 25th from 5:30-6:30pm. This year we would like to try something new. In order to make this a sustainable event year after year, we would like each grade level to create a math workshop kit. Even if you can't attend, we will pay you to make this kit so that other volunteers or teachers could potentially lead a workshop with it. TCN will provide bins to create these. This kit should include: at least 2-3 games and activities that span a K-2 or 3-5 grade level span to provide for a variety of levels and ability. It should have all blackline masters needed for each game (in a sheet protector), any manipulatives that will stay in the bin and clear, easy to follow directions (translated versions, if possible). Here are some links to a few sites and ideas to get your creative juices flowing: Family Math Night and Fun Math Games
