More PTO News
Did you see pictures of the treat table for teachers and staff? They worked hard to provide treats and fun for our kids in the current environment for Halloween, so we wanted to provide some treats for them! We are also providing dinner for the teachers one night during conferences next week. If anyone has ideas of other things we can do to recognize and appreciate our teachers and staff members, just let us know!
Fundraiser updates - Club Choice fundraiser items are delayed in shipment, we will send updates as we have them along with delivery information for the spirit wear sale. Look for that information in e-mails from Final Forms. Starting this week is the PTO raffle. This was a great success last year! It is not required that children sell tickets, they can simply be returned to the school. All money and/or tickets are due to the school on Nov 12. We will be drawing the winners on Nov 17.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, November 17 at 3:45 at the elementary school. We can also stream it live for those that can’t make it. Thank you to everyone that contributed to the Facebook poll, we appreciate your input and will go over the ideas at the meeting. We need a quorum to vote on the by-laws and budget, please attend if possible.
If you are looking for a way to get involved, we would love for you to join us! Check out our Facebook page for updates https://www.facebook.com/EastwoodElementaryPTO/

Kindergarten News
October also included learning about bats and pumpkins! We read several fiction and nonfiction books about bats, sang songs, and learned the different parts of a pumpkin and how it grows. Finally, we wrapped up the month with some Halloween festivities! We read many Halloween books and even had a STEM challenge! The students had to create and build a fence to go along with our song The Five Little Pumpkins. October had many exciting learning opportunities for our littlest Eagles and we can't wait for more fun next month!
2nd Grade News

Second Grade learned all about bats this month. The students worked hard researching facts and producing writing pieces all about bats. They even had Deb from the Sandusky County Park District come out to teach them more bat facts!
