BGMS SCHOOL HERO

Christian Garcia is this week's nomination for My School Hero. Christian is so very kind, thoughtful, helpful and a extremely positive student. I get to see Christian every single day and it is truly a highlight. He does his work, never complains, looks on the bright side of things before he thinks things are too hard to do. I am so honored to have Christian as a student. If I were to put onto paper the characteristics that make a student a perfect example, he would check all the boxes. It is a pleasure to know him and I wish so many great things for him and his future. What a wonderful example and peer he is for others.

December 13, 2021 - 5:30pm @ Speedway Junior High School

Speedway Sparkplugs VS Beech Grove Hornets

Speedway Junior High School, along with Beech Grove Middle School will be holding a Coaches VS Cancer night on December 13, 2021. All players and coaches will be wearing the shirt below this evening and we are inviting all family members and fans to do the same. All proceeds and donations from this evening will go to The Matt English Foundation (Coach English passed away in 2018 from brain cancer).

ART CORNER

The 8th grade and 7th grade advanced art students are working hard at finishing up our text portraits....using space and contrast along with text design. They were only allowed to use letters and words to take the shape of these portraits...no outlining allowed!! These are just the first handful done! They are amazing!!!!! So proud of the dedication, hard.

HELP SALVA BUILD MORE WELLS IN SUDAN

Let’s Raise Money to Help Salva Build More Wells in Sudan

During the week of Monday, November 29th - Friday, December 3rd, we will collect the coins.

How it Works

Pennies = Positive Points

Silver (Nickels, Dimes, & Quarters) = Negative Points

Our goal is to raise over $150 to provide two water pumps for two wells.

Jars will be placed in all of the 8th-grade ELA classes (Mrs. Doyle, Mrs. Eckstein, and Mrs. Stout). The teacher with the lowest total points will videotape herself performing a 10-second dance that will be played for all of the 8th-grade ELA classes to enjoy.
