BGMS SCHOOL HERO
Christian Garcia is this week's nomination for My School Hero. Christian is so very kind, thoughtful, helpful and a extremely positive student. I get to see Christian every single day and it is truly a highlight. He does his work, never complains, looks on the bright side of things before he thinks things are too hard to do. I am so honored to have Christian as a student. If I were to put onto paper the characteristics that make a student a perfect example, he would check all the boxes. It is a pleasure to know him and I wish so many great things for him and his future. What a wonderful example and peer he is for others.
POETRY CONTEST FINALIST
BGMS would like to brag on behalf of our incredible students. Mr. Thayer and Ms. Harris have at least five students that are finalists in the Indy Public Library's recent poetry competition for students in grades 7-12.
Congratulations to the following students:
The students will be receiving their awards this Saturday at the Central Library from 12-4 p.m. It is called "Fall Fest 2021 + Slammin' Rhymes Challenge." Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, will be there to speak and to distribute the awards to the students. Everyone is invited to come out and show your support.
