IMMS Library News

November 2013

Coming Soon...

Our Scholastic Book Fair is around the corner! It will be held in the library Dec. 9-13. Proceeds go toward free books for our classrooms. This is a great chance to support our school and do some holiday shopping! Online shopping will also be available.

We are looking for parent volunteers to help with sales. If you or someone you know might be interested, please contact Kristen Evans. More details coming soon!

November Resources

Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet is a fun and informative picture book about Tony Sarg, the man who invented the puppets for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We have the traditional book and the eBook! It is also on this year's Bluebonnet list.

Thank You, Sarah: The Woman Who Saved Thanksgiving by Laurie Halse Anderson is another great picture book. It relates how Sarah Hale, a magazine editor and author, persuaded President Lincoln to transform Thanksgiving Day into a national holiday.
