DISTRICT TEACHER OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED FRIDAY!
CONGRATULATIONS TO Mr. KOCH - WHO WON MPS DISTRICT TEACHER OF THE YEAR!
END-OF-YEAR MESSAGE TO OUR KIDS:
Dear Students & Parents,
As we think back on our wonderful (but all too short!) school year, we want to thank you for EVERYTHING! ... for raising such wonderful kids & for being so patient & supportive through these past months. You are amazing!
We miss our students, miss their LAUGHTER & ENTHUSIASM, & hate that we were unable to end the year with our traditional school dance & end of year events. We wish that we could encourage our 6th graders & let them know how much we love them, believe in them, & will miss them! We miss giving every child those last hugs, warm wishes good-bye & blowing silly bubbles as kids load buses & the last cars wave good-bye & pull away..
Hug your child for us & let them know that school has been "NO FUN" without them! We are so proud of their hard work, sense of fun, & their huge hearts for others this year. We look forward to seeing our 5th graders again in August & seeing the wonderful accomplishments of our 6th graders in middle & high school!
We know the future of what school "looks like" feels uncertain, but MPS & all of us at CRI promise to keep KIDS AT THE HEART OF EVERY DECISION. We will work closely with you and communicate often along the way. We will work creatively and diligently to make the upcoming year a wonderful year for your child.
School ends 5/13. Finish strong, & keep your child reading this summer!
Lots of love,
Mrs. Blackwell & Mr. Meiwes
PLANNING AHEAD TO HELP OUR KIDS!
If you see HAND SANITIZER OR WIPES on grocery shelves this summer, please consider purchasing a bottle EARLY for your child's supply list. These will stay in your child's classrooms to help keep kids safe next year.
HAND-SANITIZER & WIPES are on our SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS EACH YEAR, but they could be in EXTREMELY short supply in August.
IN MARCH, CANYON RIDGE & MPS DONATED hand-sanitizer & wipes from our classrooms to local hospitals and nursing homes. We are confident this was the right thing to do - to help in the time of crisis. However, we will be in great need of hand sanitizer & wipes at the beginning of the school year.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY & PLANNING AHEAD as we join together to take care of our kids!
Ending the year on a happy note :) We are SO PROUD of our kids!
