Peterson's News
9/20-9/24
This week we finished our benchmark assessments for all students. These assessments for reading and math along with classroom assessments help our teachers to better understand the students' strengths and areas of need. Knowing this information allows our teachers to differentiate and group students so that the students can continue to learn and grow.
Our Orange Ruler Fundraiser kicks off tomorrow! You will receive more information about the fundraiser tomorrow through an email and a flyer. Please look for information from your child's teacher about incentives for the grade level this coming week as well!
Best,
Alli Landstrom

Notification of Positive COVID-19 Cases in Schools
Positive cases of COVID-19 in your child's school can be found on the District's COVID Dashboard. The dashboard includes all positive cases of COVID-19 reported to District 204 for individuals who were on campus. The information is updated each Monday by 4 pm. If your child is in close contact with someone who tested positive, a member of the COVID-19 Response Team will notify you directly regarding the need to quarantine as a precaution. Additional information found on this page includes the current transmission level and a link to the corresponding mitigation strategies.
Parents will be notified if their child is considered a close contact with someone who tested positive. Our COVID-19 Response Team at Peterson is our Registered School Nurse, Patti Mathison , and our Certified School Nurse, Christina Cicero. If your child is considered a close contact, you will be given a Quarantine Information Sheet (K-2, 3-5) along with your child's return date, to provide information in what schooling will look like for your child during quarantine. Additionally, I have linked here the District’s Fall Plan with slides 10-13 providing information regarding isolation and quarantine for our elementary students.
