Top O' the Morning and a Pot of Gold
A few days prior, I had the privilege of delivering a 2-minute Distinguished Schools' presentation at the CVUSD School Board Meeting on behalf of Wildwood. If you have 2 minutes to spare, I invite you to view it HERE (scroll to minute 23:45) to see why I believe Wildwood is truly the Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow.
Warmly,
Mr. Lynch

- Donations from 35 states! Do you know anyone in DE, KY, LA, ME, MD, MT, NE, NC, ND, OK, PA, RI, VT, WV, WY?
- 332 students have registered! Only 50 left and all our classes will get a free kids meal to Fusion Grill! Please register NOW so your student's class can reach their goal. Click HERE to register.
- Congrats to Mrs. Dane's Flaming Hot Cheetos, Henige's Golden Running Tigers, and Mrs. Fontanilla's Blue Flames on 100% student registration!
- Classroom Team names are in place and classroom door decorations have begun. Thank you to our Room Parents for coordinating this effort.
Please join in the fun and help raise donations for Wildwood - it takes a village for the PTA to be able to provide all the things we do to our amazing school!

Wildwood Enrollment Projection Form - Last Call to Complete
In order to properly plan staffing for the 2023-2024 school year, we are requesting that ALL families who currently have a child attending Wildwood Elementary complete THIS FORM. If you have more than 1 child currently attending Wildwood, please complete a separate form for each child. This form should take less than 1 minute to complete.
Families of 5th grade students do not need to complete this form for your 5th grade student because we are already aware that they will be moving on.

Part-time Paid Job Opportunities at Wildwood - Last Chance to Express Interest
Substitute Campus Supervisors
We have a terrific campus supervision team at Wildwood, but we are currently in need of individuals who are willing to serve as substitutes for shifts on an as needed basis. We may have part-time positions with regular shifts available next school year, so this is a great way to get your feet wet and see if this work is a good fit for you. Contact Karen Meyer if interested.
Music Specialist for TK-3rd Grade
Wildwood currently has weekly music classes for grades 4 & 5, but we would like to extend services to all TK-3rd grade classes. If you or someone you know has experience providing learning experiences in music and/or the performing arts, please contact Mr. Lynch at klynch@conejousd.org.
P.E. Teacher for 2023-2024 School Year
Our beloved P.E. teachers, Robin Cookus and Tracy Rogers, will be hanging up their whistles at the end of this school year, so to maintain continuity with our program, we would like to bring on replacement P.E. teachers for the remainder of this school year to work alongside them and learn the program. If you or someone you know are interested in one of these 10-20 hour/week positions, or if you would like to begin with a 1-2 day/week shadow position for the remainder of this school year, please contact Mr. Lynch at klynch@conejousd.org.
School Attendance and Scheduling Vacation
Start building good attendance habits early on (article) so children learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Attending school regularly improves academic performance and helps children feel better about school and themselves.
Absences: If your student will be absent, please call our office to report the absence. Students are marked “truant” when we don’t hear from a parent. https://www.conejousd.org/Page/1764
Tardies: Please try to avoid being tardy. When a student enters the classroom tardy, it disrupts the morning instruction for the entire classroom. School begins promptly at 8:10am and leaving the house just 10 minutes earlier can make all the difference.
Vacation: Please avoid scheduling vacation when school is in session. See our “School Year Calendar” for important dates when scheduling vacation.
