School Board Highlights

Student Achievement Recognition
The School Board this week recognized Daniel Wright students for their highest level of achievement in a school club or sport during the school year.
Facilities Review
The Board continued its review of a five-year Facilities Master Plan that oversees possible projects and capital needs at the district’s three schools. Discussions will continue into June.
Tentative Budget
The Board was presented with a tentative budget for the 2023-2024 school year. The district will continue to update the budget before the Board gives it a final review in June. The proposed budget calls for $40.79 million in expenses and $41.99 million in revenue.
Salary Reviews
The Board was presented with salary increase proposals for custodians, classified staff, administrative assistants, and administrators. The district conducted a market analysis of some positions comparing them against area school districts and what they pay for these positions. The Board will continue to review salaries in June.
Teacher Internship Program
The Board approved a National Louis University Teacher Internship Program for the 2023-2024 school year. The teacher candidate will be mentored by D103 staff in teaching, curriculum design, planning, and assessment.
Summer School
Summer school will begin Tuesday, June 6. There are 530 students enrolled in the program.
Board of Education Meeting
The next Board of Education meeting will occur at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6. The notice and agenda can be found on the District 103 Board meeting website page. D103 board meetings will be live-streamed each month on our YouTube Channel. Members of the community should attend the meeting at 111 Barclay Boulevard, Lincolnshire if they would like to make a public comment. The public can also contact the Board at board@d103.org.
